Spice blend for black lentils (urad whole)
Recipe:
Soak 110 g black lentils (Urad whole) and 30 g red beans overnight. Drain the water. In a deep pan, add 1.5 litres of warm water and cook the beans until they are soft. Add more water if necessary. Separately, cook 120 g of tomato puree and 15 g of Dal Makhani masala. Transfer it to the boiling beans. Stir and simmer for 10 minutes. Add 40 g of cream and 30 g of butter. Check the seasoning. Serve with Tandoori Parantha, Naan or rice.
